October 1, 2016 — College Park, MD — It was a rainy and cool Saturday as the University of Maryland Terrapins prepared to battle the Boilermakers of Purdue. InSource’s Ted Fluehr and Ann Croom were setting up to welcome the future of Maryland manufacturing.

The Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MD MEP) and Regional Manufacturing Institute of Maryland (RMI) hosted a celebration of MFG Day at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium. Manufacturers from around Maryland were shown appreciation at this special event highlighting the hard work and dedication they have to making their products in Maryland.

InSource participated in the Gears on the Gridiron event with an interactive display of how we help Maryland’s manufacturers by displaying some of the products we help our clients produce. We featured one of our competition robots that we use with our educational outreach programs to teach kids about manufacturing—past, present, and future. Visitors were able to test drive the robot and learn more about InSource’s passion for revitalizing manufacturing in America.

The day may have been a bit soggy, but even Testudo got into the fun when he stopped by the InSource tent.
