November 9, 2021 – Raleigh, NC – Congratulations to Blue Ridge Fiberboard, Inc. winners of InSource Extreme Factory Makeover Contest Season 3, Workforce Optimization Edition.

The annual InSource Extreme Factory Makeover Contest, sponsored by AVEVA, selects one deserving manufacturer each year to receive up to $45,000 in software and consulting services to advance their company’s digital transformation strategy.

All contest entrants described their aspirations to improve their workforce productivity and retention. They described issues that were impacted by communications, skills management, issues management and overall knowledge transfer. Finally they articulated how they would like to use a workforce optimization digital solution prize to further their objectives. Our judges narrowed the field to a few fantastic finalists and selected Blue Ridge Fiberboard as a result of their most compelling use case.

Blue Ridge Fiberboard, Inc. is the preeminent fiberboard manufacturer in the United States, providing roofing, soundproofing, and exterior sheathing products. Blue Ridge Fiberboard plans to implement AVEVA Teamwork into their production facility. “This would be a huge opportunity for improved product quality and reduced product costs by more closely following recipes, while the better communications would expedite the issue resolution.” explains Mark Custer, Plant Manager at Blue Ridge Fiberboard.

Bert Eades, Plant Manager and David Aaron, Operations Manager from Blue Ridge Fiberboard, Inc. were presented a check for $45,000 while attending the InSource Brew Tour at the Richmond, VA Stop. We can’t wait to get started and help the Blue Ridge Fiberboard Operations team achieve their goals!
