As of April 2021, we are pleased to announce that AVEVA has chosen InSource to be your InduSoft distributor.  Previously, AVEVA has sold InduSoft Web Studio and AVEVA Edge through different sales channels, and with the current 2020 releases, both products are functionally identical. To simplify product development and support, all subsequent product releases and enhancements will be released under the AVEVA Edge brand. Product procurement and support will be handled by AVEVA Distributors, i.e. InSource Solutions.

What You Need to Know

InduSoft Web Studio is now AVEVA Edge. AVEVA Edge provides 100% compatibility with projects created with InduSoft Web Studio, so your investment in this solution is protected. Changes to the software are primarily the cosmetic name change. Along with the new name we also wanted to better acquaint you with some of the benefits you will receive when you purchase AVEVA Edge through InSource:

  • A wider selection of licensing options, including unlimited and subscription licensing
  • Larger support teams; InduSoft users will have access to the support and services program, known as AVEVA Customer FIRST
  • Native integration of AVEVA Edge with the wide portfolio from AVEVA, including cloud-based AVEVA Insight analytics, AVEVA System Platform, and AVEVA Edge Management which allows you to build on your previous investment and create state of the art operations solutions
  • You do not have to upgrade to continue using your software. However, we do recommend that you work with the latest version of your SCADA/HMI software to ensure you have the most recent security patches and updates. We especially recommend that users on InduSoft Web Studio 8.1 or earlier upgrade to the current version.
    Switching from InduSoft Web Studio to AVEVA Edge can be accomplished easily by purchasing a version upgrade, similar to how InduSoft Web Studio versions were upgraded in the past. If you recently purchased an InduSoft Web Studio Version 2020 license, you can upgrade the license(s) to AVEVA Edge 2020 at no charge by contacting your AVEVA Distributor.
