One Platform Drives Performance Support & Collaboration

enabling the digitally connected worker

If you’re like most organizations today, you can’t recruit and train new hires quickly enough to replace the outflow of workers retiring or leaving your organization each year. Some of your workers have likely been with you for decades. When they leave, they take all of their experience and tribal knowledge with  them, making them impossible to replace overnight.

AVEVA Teamwork enables industrial organizations to implement skills development, knowledge sharing, and collaboration management across their enterprise from the cloud. Whether providing training videos, digital logbook or answering a call for help, AVEVA Teamwork solves many of the challenges with traditional training and knowledge retention industrial organizations experience today. It reduces the time it takes to get frontline workers up to speed on the basic skills needed to run today’s complex industrial operations and create a digital knowledge repository that standardizes and stores best practices and detailed process knowledge before experienced workforces retire.

Teamwork also leverages the commercial flexibility of AVEVA Flex, the market’s first and only edge-to-enterprise subscription offer, enabling portfolio as a service.

With the AVEVA Teamwork application, plant workers will be able to use tablets to scan QR codes strategically placed throughout the plant, giving them instant access to standard work instructions, trouble-shooting solutions, equipment KPIs and more. They will also be able to post important production updates and send out calls for assistance in the form of text, photos or videos to communicate with one another in real-time to resolve issues and identify improvements directly from their daily routines.

Once a problem is solved, it can be automatically converted into a troubleshooting solution in the knowledge base for others to learn from.

Engaging workers in their skills development

Workers have real-time visibility into all their skills and assignments directly at their workstations. They can quickly see what new or updated instructions have been added, which skills they have completed and been endorsed for, and which skills are past due and require updating. Automatic notifications are sent to workers, alerting them when a new skill or work instruction has been added to their profile page.  They simply navigate to their profile page to get an at-a-glance view of all the skills, work instructions, troubleshoots and compliance training that have been assigned to them based on their job title and location.

InSource, using AVEVA’s performance support application called Teamwork, is empowering workers at organizations to learn, solve problems and share knowledge from their workstations.  Talk to us about how to get started.
