Start the New Year with Trained Workers

As 2019 draws to a close, it’s time to start thinking about the educational needs for a new year. New projects, new employees, and new technologies create the need to be on our toes constantly. Manufacturing technology represents constant change and all employees need to be equipped and then refreshed with the necessary skills to be successful.

A recent movement we’ve observed in the last two years is a rise in technology maintenance educational needs. Systems are stable and may remain unchanged for several years (i.e. do not need new screens or objects) However, keeping these systems highly available becomes the critical need and having maintenance workers on all shifts equipped to troubleshoot and maintain critical systems is important to minimizing downtime. We developed two new training courses specifically for this need; the first one is for clients who have our stand-alone InTouch technology and the second for clients who are System Platform & InTouch combined.

Due to the complexities of communicating to many different PLC controllers, gauges, databases, DCS, etc – our popular Wonderware Communications is available for those who need help understanding how to design new communication connections and how to troubleshoot existing ones. As a tidbit of information, communications and connectivity is the number one reason why clients call our support help desk.

For clients who are considering how to leverage all the new capabilities of our solutions, we have will be offering the new Wonderware Operations Management Interface and Application Server 2017. Combined, these two represent the latest advancements in AVEVA’s portfolio.

We can’t go without mentioning our beloved classic InTouch – still holding the number one spot for client attended training. Add to that the Wonderware Historian Server and Wonderware Historian Client classes and you have most everything you need to be successful in 2020.
