Intro to Lean Six Sigma: Want to improve on-time customer deliveries? Need to reduce scrap and rework? Working to reduce cycle time? Looking for more capacity? The Lean Six Sigma methodology can help you achieve all the above. Lean Six Sigma is a combination of two complementary business improvement methodologies. It is a systematic approach to identifying and eliminating waste (non-value-added activities) through continuous improvement in pursuit of perfection.

Measurement System Analysis: Think you have a good measurement system simply because your measuring devices are calibrated? You might be mistaken.

Throughout the course, participants will learn about measurement uncertainty and sources of measurement error. After building a foundation on the concepts of resolutions, linearity, bias, stability, repeatability, and reproducibility, participants will discover the various types of MSA designs. The course explains how to choose the best MSA design for the situation, prepare for and execute the MSA, and interpret the results. Participants will then apply the concepts learned on various measurement systems and use their results to improve those systems.

Quality engineers and managers, Plant managers, Auditors and audit managers, Operations managers and supervisors.


Manufacturing experience is recommended.

For Measurement System Analysis: At least one attendee from each company should have a laptop with the trial (or full) version of Minitab loaded on it. Licensing is available from InSource.
